We are looking for a Mobile Lead CT Radiographer to join our mobiles division in our North CT Mobiles Team. As this is a mobile role covering a number of locations around (and not limited to) Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester and Stoke on Trent, the successful applicant will be eligible for a company car or car allowance. We will take your home location in to account and try to base you primarily from the sites most local to you, but there may be occasions when you need to travel further afield - any travel or hotel costs will be paid for by InHealth.

What you will do:

  • As an InHealth Lead CT Radiographer, you will provide first point of call management and clinical leadership, operating in accordance with local guidelines and company policies, delivering a service that is aligned to contractual and governance requirements. As an integral part of our clinical team, your skills as a Radiographer help us to deliver on our vision to make healthcare better.
  • Carry out computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures to best practice standards of radiographic techniques (MHRA Guidance 2015, IR(ME)R 2017, Code of Clinical Practice).

What you are responsible for:

  • Demonstrate active involvement in the recruitment, appointment and induction of new staff
  • Arrange rotas for clinical and healthcare support staff where required
  • Deal with day to day staff queries, liaising with appropriate support functions where required
  • Carry out modality specific imaging procedures to best practice standards of radiographic technique
  • Provide a great experience for patients attending for CT scanning, supporting them through the process from referral to results
  • Perform triage functions of referrals as required
  • Support patient bookings and make sure Patient Information Systems are maintained with accurate and up-to-date information
  • Demonstrate safe, effective practice in line with policies and procedures
  • Maintain professional competencies and CPD

We are looking for someone who has:

  • BSc Radiography or equivalent
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body and to hold a valid registration (HCPC)
  • A valid UK Driving License
  • Expertise to ensure the appropriate triage, booking and examination of patients
  • A high level of professionalism and technical standard of work, complying with relevant Codes of Practice
  • Aptitude towards improving quality
  • The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Caldicott Principles and GDPR
  • A flexible approach to work and able to work across 7 days (Mon-Sun)
  • A strong team player attitude, being supportive, caring, reliable and trustworthy
  • The ability to be calm when working under pressure and in a busy environment
  • A positive attitude, taking pride in their work and is passionate about the service they provide
  • The passion for developing their career in radiography and supporting others to develop their careet
  • Strong leadership skills

You should apply if you have experience:

  • In performing routine and complex CT examinations
  • In CT examinations both with and without contrast
  • Working with CT equipment in a hospital or mobile environment
  • In health and safety policies and procedures when it comes to imaging equipment and radiology
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team
  • In different courses such as infection control training, manual handling, basic life support.
  • Experience in training and managing small teams would be beneficial for this role
